A reference visit to the University of Northampton took place on 5th March. The new £330m Waterside Campus welcomed its first students in September 2018. Built on a site by the River Nene which was formerly occupied by old industrial buildings including the old Northampton power station, the new campus for 12,000 students and 2,000 staff replaced two former campuses and embraced innovative and collaborative teaching, which has resulted in the radical decision to build no formal traditional lecture theatres.
