Paris Group Study Tour

The tour has now taken place.

Date: 12 & 13 March 2026

Theme: Less is More

Following the successes of Barcelona, Milan, Berlin, Rome, Antwerp and Dublin, the University Design Forum announces a group study tour of Paris in March. The theme, 'Less is More’, will be expanded upon later at the forum’s summer conference. The projects to be toured have been selected as exemplars of contemporary and sustainable insertions into historic city centre fabric or new technology in a decentralised campus.

The tours will start at 1.30 pm Paris time on Thursday 12 March at the John W Boyer Center at the University of Chicago Paris (over the most eastern exit of the RER C Bibliothèque François Mitterrand station). The tour will conclude at RER B station Massy–Palaiseau at about 3pm on Friday 13 March (about 45 minutes direct connection to Gare du Nord).

The itinerary is yet to be finalised but will include all or most of the following: the John W Boyer Center at the University of Chicago Paris, Sorbonne University's Cité de l’innovation, Sciences Po L’Artillerie Campus, Paris-Saclay University’s Institut Mines-Télécom, Lieu de Vie and École Normale Supérieure.

A group dinner will be held at a Belle Époque brasserie in the Latin Quarter on Thursday evening.

Tickets are available to members only.

Tickets are £227.18 and limited to one per member organisation - excluding HEIs and tour supporters. The ticket includes all tours, the group dinner and Orsay coach transport. Delegates are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements.

Please do not book non-cancellable travel or accommodation until your place is confirmed by the Forum.

Emails requesting registration of interest will go out to membership contacts in early February. If you wish to attend then please agree upon your organisation’s delegate and register as soon as possible. If successful, you’ll be contacted in February for card payment.
