Coming this Autumn: Republic London Study Tour

Republic is a mixed-use 720,000 sq ft education campus in London’s Tower Hamlets. Unique in its ‘co-location’ approach – it is the London base to four universities and one FE college. It’s now home to 15,000 students and the campus mix is enriched by third sector organisations that provide training, skills and outreach to people in the local area, and an incubator for impact-focused startups.

It is a campus that provides insight into:

• How strong placemaking and innovative public realm can create a vibrant campus community that successfully attracts international students.
• An exemplar approach to retrofitting and repurposing – structural timber additions were used to radically change a 1990’s office complex – both internally and externally.
• How micro partnerships deliver an award-winning approach to social value creation -measured by a bespoke THRIVE framework.
