Concept to Completion (October)
The London Institute for Healthcare Engineering for King's College London
The London Institute for Healthcare Engineering is a research and teaching facility for King’s College London at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital. Sandwiched between two Grade II Listed buildings to the north and south, with the River Thames and the Palace of Westminster to the west, and Lambeth Palace to the east. Externally, the building responds to its context in scale and materiality, while being confidently modern in its form and assembly. Internally, the gestation of research themes and resultant team sizes led to an innovative approach to division of space and flexibility of use. It won a London Region RIBA award in 2026.
