Higher Education Design Quality Forum appoints five new trustees
HEDQF is delighted to announce the following have been appointed to the Board of Trustees:
- Dr Ghazwa Alwani-Starr, University of London
- Emma Keyse, Overbury
- Fiona Bell, University of Portsmouth and AUDE
- Ian Caldwell, King’s College London
- Heidi Corbet, Hawkins\Brown
These appointments will significantly strengthen the depth and breadth of experience and representation on the Board. Four out of the five Trustees are women in senior roles across a wide range of disciplines, which will make HEDQF more representative and inclusive. Three are from the Higher Education sector.
Commenting on the appointments HEDQF Chair Julian Robinson said:
“HEDQF aims to be a multi-disciplinary and cross sector forum, the latest round of appointments is a big step forward in achieving my aim of improved gender and HE balance on the Board. The perspective, skills and experience these individuals possess will be of great benefit to the organisation.”
Dr.Ghazwa Alwani-Starr one of the new Trustees and Director of Estates at the University of London added:
“I am delighted to join the HEDQF as a Trustee to support its activities in promoting the value of well-designed University buildings and facilities. The HEDQF brings University professionals and industry advisers together in a network that promotes knowledge exchange and continuous improvement and I look forward to contributing to its efforts.”
